Wind Foundations And Blade Roots Need Different Fasteners

Begin With The Location

Wind energy covers several very different connections. A foundation anchoring system transfers loads at the tower base. Tower connections and blade-root connections use other fastening arrangements. “Wind bolt” alone is too broad to define a product.

Foundation Anchoring Systems

For a foundation enquiry, start with the anchor rod and cage drawings. Include the rod geometry, anchor plates, hole layout and matching hardware. Cage dimensions and assembly requirements need to be reviewed together rather than selected independently.

Blade-Root Connection Hardware

Blade-root fastening can use a double-ended stud with a cylindrical barrel nut and external fastening hardware. This is a different connection from a foundation cage. Send the connection drawing and component schedule so the required geometry and supplied parts are clear.

Keep Project Requirements Together

Identify the application, drawing revision, materials, mechanical requirements and inspection scope in one enquiry. A similar appearance does not establish that components are interchangeable.
