A Check For Relevant Discontinuities
Magnetic particle testing is used to reveal surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. It is one part of an inspection plan, not a measurement of every property of a fastener.
Define The Inspection Requirement
Agree the inspection method, extent, acceptance criteria and required report with the order. The part geometry and inspection procedure matter. “MPI checked” by itself does not describe a complete acceptance requirement.
Read It Alongside Other Records
