Identify Each Threaded End

A double-ended rod needs a separate thread length for each end. Label both on the drawing instead of describing the rod only by diameter and total length. Clearly distinguish overall length from the exposed projection above the foundation.

Describe The Hardware Arrangement

The exposed end has to suit the specified connection and hardware arrangement. The embedded end may use a different configuration. Give the manufacturer the relevant assembly detail rather than asking it to infer thread length from the rod length.

Keep The Drawing As The Reference

Use consistent dimension references and drawing revisions across the rod, plates and assembly. Where a revised connection changes the hardware stack or projection, review the thread dimensions as well. Final dimensions belong to the project design, not a generic purchasing rule.
